GOING GREEN |
During school council we have been thinking about recycling. So far a lady from Hampshire County Council talked to us about how we can save the planet. Here are some facts about recycling and why it is important. On average every person in the UK throws away there own body weight in rubbish every 7 weeks! The average person throws away every 74kg of compost waste a year the equivalent of 1077 banana skins!

ECO FORCE |
The school council have been working closely with Gosport Borough Council to try and make Gomer greener. The children investigated the waste that Gomer produces and looked at ways that they can reduce it. This work has led to: Recycling monitors who ensure we recycle as much as possible, scrap paper bins in every classroom and a plan to look into composting in the school. The children are also very keen to arrange a recycling day in the summer term ...more details |
